The Wild Currant Bungalow is a charming, nearly new, 1400 square foot home on 2 levels in a neighborhood of newer homes. As you enter the open floor plan, the great room offers a kitchen with an island and bar stools, slate counter tops, gas cooking stove and a pine table. Many furnishings from the Pottery Barn add a cozy feel with a comfy leather sofa and chairs. And a gas fireplace, large, beautiful wood windows, and French doors that open to the deck and a view of the water makes this a truely special home. There are maple wood floors throughout, a full bath, and a vaulted ceiling with a huge skylight that opens to the great outdoors and a loft that is only an accent.
Everything is provided, from cookbooks, direct TV, movies, books, plush towels and linens, outdoor seating, BBQ, and a feeling of relaxation.
Sleeping quarters are downstairs. Bedrooms are impeccably furnished, full bath with slate counter and floors, washer and dryer, and a door off the master bedroom leads you to a patio with water views and a grassy area for barbequing and entertaining.
The quaint town of Eastsound is within walking distance with its fine restaurants and waterfront park (at minus tide a rubber boot hike to Indian Island in Fishing Bay to study tidepools and/or wildflowers).
On July 4 you might watch the Eastsound fireworks display from the deck which provides a front row seat slightly obstructed by trees.
