Denise McIntosh manages the vacation rental division of Windermere San Juan Islands. Denise and her family's decision to move to the San Juan Islands resulted from what had been yearly vacations and occasional getaways to that same destination. The often heard, and thought, "wouldn't it be nice to live here?" was a question they decided not to ask anymore; they now live on Lopez Island.
Denise owned her own company in California specializing in residential leasing. With equal concern for both property owners and their guests, she endeavors to use good judgment and to pay close attention to details.
Chris enjoyed a successful real estate career and traveled extensively throughout the world before to moving to Friday Harbor in 1999 following a vacation on San Juan Island. Prior to joining Windermere, she owned and operated a highly regarded Bed and Breakfast on San Juan Island.
Born in Seattle, Chris is a third generation of original Scandinavian émigrés to the Pacific Northwest. Her grandfather fished the waters around the San Juan Islands for salmon. Surrounded by these same serene waters makes island living a natural choice for Chris.

Laura brings enthusiasm and love for the islands to her work with Windermere - and local knowledge since she has lived full-time on Orcas Island since 1976.
Born in Seattle, she spent summers cruising in the islands as a child. After obtaining her Bachelors in Botany from the UW she was given a choice, a jobwith a landscaper on Orcas or working with the Department of Agriculturein downtown Seattle. She chose to stay on Orcas and never returned to the mainland.
From 1982 to 1999, Laura worked with her husband, a contractor, building and remodeling homes, mostly on Orcas, and for many years was employed by The Islands' Sounder, the Orcas Island local newspaper. Laura is excited to have the opportunity to welcome you to the islands.
Carol grew up in the San Fernando Valley, in California, attended Van Nuys High & San Fernando Valley State College. She married Jim & moved to Pullman, Washington in 1967 when they first visited the San Juan Islands. Since then Carol and Jim have enjoyed living in many beautiful areas including Lake Tahoe, Gardnerville, Nevada & now on beautiful Lopez Island.
Carol has experienced different jobs—all interesting including waitress, vacation rentals at Lake Tahoe, secretary at Windermere, Lopez Island for 10 years, and the best & most challenging-raising four daughters.
Carol is looking forward to the new challenge of finding the right home for visitors to Lopez as well as helping homeowners on Lopez.
Carol loves Lopez Island because it is the ‘Friendly Island” & has much to offer with its beautiful scenery, ’The Village’ & many accessible beaches. Come visit with us!
Cindy joined Windermere in November, 2005. She and her husband moved to the San Juan’s from Southern California in 1996. They were looking for a safe, friendly place to raise their three daughters. Moving from the big city to a small, tight-knit community like Friday Harbor was the perfect decision for them. They’ve never looked back. Her entire family has participated in a variety of community events and they all enjoy everything the islands have to offer.
